Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando Resort
Each year, the festivities and celebration of Mardi Gras make their way to Universal Orlando Resort! This annual celebration takes place between January and March, with exact dates determined based on when Mardi Gras falls in a particular year.
The Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval event admission is included with theme park tickets or an annual pass, making it a great add on to any visit to Universal Orlando Resort! Enjoy a celebration inspired by the streets of New Orleans with a parade and street performers! You can catch additional live music performances at the Music Stage Plaza on select nights. Park guests also have the chance to taste-test event exclusive food and drink including cajun specialties and a wide range of global cuisines.
Universal Orlando guests have the opportunity to take their Mardi Gras celebration to the next level with a ride on one of the themed parade floats! To take advantage of the limited spaces available each day, guests can reserve their spot once they arrive in the park using the Virtual Line in the Universal Orlando App. If you are selected to ride on a float, you will be notified and receive instructions before the scheduled start time. Young guests who want to join in the parade must be accompanied by an adult and be at least 48” tall to ride on a float. Guests who want to ensure a spot on the parade float can purchase tickets for the Mardi Gras Float Ride & Dine Experience! This includes a ride on the parade float, as well as a three-course meal at a participating Universal Orlando restaurant.
The Mardi Gras celebration doesn’t stop when you leave the theme park! The festivities extend throughout the resort and Universal Citywalk. Specialty themed restaurant menus and exclusive event merchandise add to the fun of your Universal Orlando Resort Mardi Gras experience!
