Walt Disney World Moderate Resort Hotels

Staying at a moderate resort allows guests to take advantage of upgraded amenities and space while remaining in a motel style room, as well as more dining and transportation options!
While the theming of each moderate resort at Walt Disney World is unique, they all offer similar onsite recreation! Each of the four moderate resorts feature a playground, arcade, pools with waterslides and host nightly outdoor showings of your favorite Disney movies at the hotels’ main pools. Guests should be sure to check for additional activities and events being offered during their stay!
Disney’s Port Orleans-Riverside
A stay at Disney’s Port Orleans-Riverside transports you to the glamorous white columned mansions of rural Louisiana. Situated along the Sassagoula river, this resort offers modern accommodations with an old southern charm!
Port Orleans-Riverside offers both standard and preferred location guest rooms that can sleep up to four adults. The resort also has 5th-sleeper room options. These accommodations include two queen sized beds and one child-size pull out bed. If you’re looking to add even more magic to your stay at Riverside, the resort offers a limited number of Royal Guest Rooms, which sleep four adults and feature decor fit for a princess!
You’ll never go hungry at Port Orleans-Riverside! The resort offers a variety of dining options ranging from the quick-serve Riverside Mill Food Court to Boatwrights, a table service dinner restaurant. Guests can be sure to check out both the River Roost or the Muddy Rivers Pool Bar for even more refreshments!
There is no shortage of things to do at Port Orleans-Riverside! Take a dip in the Ol’ Man Island Pool or one of five other leisure pools scattered throughout the resort. Guests at Riverside also have access to the pool at Riverside’s sister resort, Disney’s Port Orleans-French Quarter, which can be accessed via the Sassagoula Riverboat or the walking path connecting the two resorts. At Riverside, guests of any hotel, have the opportunity to reserve a horse drawn carriage ride, rent bicycles or surrey bikes, and book fishing excursions.
Disney’s Port Orleans-French Quarter
At Disney’s Port Orleans-French Quarter it’s always Mardi Gras! This hotel, inspired by the French Quarter of New Orleans, features the area’s iconic architecture and celebratory atmosphere!
At French Quarter, both standard and preferred rooms are available, and can accommodate up to four adults. While staying at French Quarter, guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner quick-service meals at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. Arguably the best part of a stay at this resort-Mickey beignets! These delicious New Orleans specialties are available at both the Scat Cat’s Cafe and Scat Cat’s Lounge. If you stop by the lounge, be sure to stick around for some live jazz music performed nightly!
Looking for some fun in the sun? Check out the Doubloon Lagoon Pool and the accompanying Mardi Grogs pool bar for refreshments! Guests of French Quarter can also access the pools at the Port Orleans-Riverside resort, conveniently accessible via the walking path or water transit.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
For those looking for even more luxury while remaining at a moderate level resort, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort may be the perfect choice! The theming of this resort is inspired by Spanish, Mexican, and Southwest American Culture, and features a variety of amenities and accommodations!
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has two main guest room areas, Village rooms and Tower rooms. Available in the Village are standard and preferred rooms that sleep up to four guests, 1-bedroom suites that sleep 4-6 adults, and an Executive Suite that can accommodate eight adults. Standard and preferred guest rooms are also available in the Tower. The Tower also features several Club Level room options including deluxe suites, 1-bedroom suites, and the Presidential Suite.
Coronado Springs is home to the most dining options of all the moderate level resorts! For quick-service meals, guests can stop by El Mercado de Coronado, Cafe Rix, Rix Sports Bar or the poolside Siestas Cantina. Table-service options at the hotel include Toledo, Three Bridges Bar and Grill, and Maya Grill, all three of which are open daily for dinner! Drinks and refreshments are also available throughout the resort at several different bars and lounges.
There is no shortage of entertainment at Coronado Springs! The resort is home to the Lost City of Cibola Pool as well as three leisure pools! The resort also features a gym which is open 24-hours a day. Coronado Springs also offers several activities which guests can participate in for an additional cost, such as the Colors of Coronado Painting or Spanish Mosaic Art workshops.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
For a taste of island paradise during your Disney vacation, stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! This resort evokes the relaxing vibes of the Caribbean with five distinct island inspired areas: Barbados, Martinique, Jamaica, Trinidad, and Aruba! Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort also features Skyliner access, providing guests with convenient transportation to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme parks.
Caribbean Beach offers both standard and preferred guest rooms that sleep up to four adults, as well as 5th-sleeper room options that feature two queen beds and one child-size pull out bed. While at the resort, guests can grab quick-serve meals at any time of the day from both Centertown Market and Spyglass Grill. The resort is also home to Sebastian’s Bistro, a family style dinner restaurant!
At Caribbean Beach, guests can have some fun in the sun at the Fuentes del Morrow Pool or one of five leisure pools throughout the resort! More refreshments and small bites can be found at the poolside Banana Cabana.
