Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

Every part of a Disney vacation is magical, especially your hotel! All the available accommodations at Walt Disney World Resort are designed to enhance the magic of your trip and serve as your home away from home! With over 30 different accommodations, it can be difficult to decide which hotel is best for your family, your itinerary, and your budget. Let’s break down the three main categories of hotels at Walt Disney World, so you can start making yourself at home!

Value Resorts

The first tier of resorts at Walt Disney World are the value resorts. These hotels are known for their more affordable pricing and over-the-top theming. Usually situated further from the theme parks, the majority of value resort rooms are motel style. All value resorts also include a quick-service dining option and at least one swimming pool!

WDW Value Resorts

  • Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort

  • Disney’s All-Star Music Resort

  • Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort

  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort

My favorite value resort is Art of Animation because it has a splash pad, which is perfect for little kids, the Big Blue Pool, and more. I also love the themed family suites, which are great options for bigger or multi-generational families.

Moderate Resorts

The second tier of resorts at Walt Disney World are the moderate level resorts. The accommodations at these hotels are slightly larger and include upgraded amenities, while mostly remaining motel style rooms. Moderate resorts include quick-service dining options as well as table-service dining in most locations. These hotels also feature pools with waterslides, and more transportation options to and from the theme parks.

WDW Moderate Resorts

  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

  • Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter

  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-Riverside

I love Coronado Springs because it has a deluxe feel at a moderate price. You can stay in a suite on the concierge floor [Gran Destino Tower] for a fair price and you can even see some fireworks in the distance from the lounge. This resort has comfy beds, a good pool and great food. You really can’t go wrong with Coronado Springs!

Deluxe Resorts

The final tier of resorts at Walt Disney World are the deluxe resorts. These hotels have the largest guest rooms and the most high-end amenities Disney has to offer! These resorts are categorized by their multiple quick- and table-service dining options and convenient locations to the theme parks. Guests of deluxe resorts also have access to extra perks such as extended park hours and more!

WDW Deluxe Resorts

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

  • Disney’s Beach Club Resort

  • Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort

  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

  • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

My favorite deluxe resort is the Contemporary. Monorail access to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom is great if you want to head back to the hotel midday with the kids to rest or swim. It also has some of the cheapest rates of the hotels on the monorail loop.
