Transportation at Orlando International Airport
For many people, navigating a new airport can be stressful and confusing, especially one as busy as the Orlando International Airport (MCO). This airport is often where guests visiting Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando, or one of the many amusement parks in the area, arrive and depart.
Orlando International Airport offers several transportation options both to and from the airport that are popular choices for guests visiting one of Orlando’s many attractions!
Ride Share
Ride share services such as Lyft or Uber can be utilized at MCO. Guests driving to the airport can be dropped off at the departures curb of their designated terminal, and guests leaving the airport can be picked up at the arrivals curb of their terminal. Ride share services can drive guests between the airport and all major resort hotels.
Shuttle Vans
Several shuttle bus companies operate out of the Orlando International Airport, and seats on these shuttles can be reserved in advance. Shuttle vans and buses are located at the ground transportation curb in all terminals. Popular shuttle van services include Mears Destination Services, as well as designated hotel shuttles, and private transportation options. Shuttle services to the Disney Resorts area typically range in price from $20-40 per person.
Guests heading to Universal Orlando Resort can take advantage of Universal’s SuperStar Shuttle which departs from terminal A and provides direct transportation to Universal resorts. This service must be added to your vacation package in advance.
Cruise Transfers
Guests who are preparing to set sail on a cruise adventure from Port Canaveral have several transportation options from MCO. Many cruise lines directly offer transportation between Orlando International Airport and the Port Canaveral. Additionally, several of the ground transportation companies located at MCO also drive this route, including Mears Destination Services, GoPort, and CocoaBeachShuttle.
Rental Cars
Looking for your own set of wheels in Orlando? There are several rental car services located at the airport. Rental car reservations can be made in advance or upon your arrival. Popular services available at the Orlando International Airport include, Alamo, AVIS, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and more.
Private Transfers
Private transfers are another great transportation option both to and from the airport. Private chauffeur services are especially good for groups that may require larger vehicles to accommodate their entire party. Many private transfer companies are also able to accommodate and/or provide car seats for guests traveling with children. Minnie Vans
Guests heading to a Walt Disney World Deluxe Resort or a Disney Vacation Club Resort can now arrive in style thanks to the new Minnie Van transportation option at MCO. These Minnie Mouse inspired vehicles can be reserved up to 60 days in advance and can accommodate six guests, and are equipped with two child seats. Accessible van options are also available. Guests looking to ride to or from the airport in a Minnie Van, can expect to pay approximately $199 each way.
