Walt Disney World Resort Holiday Guide

There is no better way to celebrate the holiday season than at the most magical place on earth-Walt Disney World! Each year from mid-November through New Years Eve, Walt Disney World Resort is transformed into a winter wonderland featuring a wide variety of exclusive holiday entertainment, merchandise, sweet treats and more! 

The festivities extend beyond the theme parks to Disney Springs and all the on-property resort hotels! You will spot some of your favorite characters wearing their seasonal best, taste delicious holiday treats, and marvel at the countless over-the-top Christmas trees throughout the resort!

Magic Kingdom

Get into the holiday spirit at the Magic Kingdom with Frozen Holiday Surprise, a seasonal show featuring Elsa and friends as they prepare Cinderella’s castle for Christmas! Guests should be sure to check out special holiday renditions of their favorite attractions, such as the pun-nier than ever “Jingle” Cruise! 

Looking to add even more magic to your visit? Guests can purchase tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! This special ticketed event is held after-hours in the Magic Kingdom on select nights during the holiday season!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Holiday cheer is never short at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Be sure to check out the nightly Hollywood Tower Hotel Projection Show or for even more seasonal entertainment, purchase tickets for the park’s after hours event-Jollywood Nights!

For some holiday eats, head over Hollywood & Vine where Minnie Mouse and friends are hosting a seasonally themed dining experience!

EPCOT

At EPCOT you can celebrate Christmas around the world at EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! Experience global holiday traditions and delicious food and drinks as you make your way around the World Showcase. Even some of  the attractions at EPCOT get into the holiday spirit! Be sure to check out the seasonal transformation of Living with the Land, now the Glimmering Greenhouses attraction.

During the holiday season, the Candlelight Processional, an EPCOT tradition, returns to the park! This performance tells the story of Christmas, and features a celebrity narrator as well as a choir and orchestra.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom comes to life with the holiday season! Guests should be on the lookout for members of the Magical Menagerie, a collection of sculpted arctic animal puppets that wander around Discovery Island! 

Experience a magical end to your day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with the Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition! Watch as the Tree of Life lights up to the sounds of holiday classics.

Disney Springs 

The holiday fun continues at Disney Springs! Guests can take on the challenge of spotting all the festive trees in the Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth. Looking for something magical to add to your Christmas tree? Stop by the Disney’s Days of Christmas store!

No trip to Disney Springs during the holiday season would be complete without getting the chance to meet Santa Clause! Guests of all ages can meet and take festive pictures with St. Nick throughout the season!
